Customer photo review of Black Eyed Susan Seeds

My absolute favorite flower this year! Grows so quickly and brightens my day every time I see them.

    Black Eyed Susan Seeds

We planted three rows of Black Eyed Susan’s for our flower farm and not a single one germinated.

    Black Eyed Susan Seeds

Store owner replied: Hello Jessica. Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are sorry to hear that none of your Black-Eyed Susan seeds germinated. Black-Eyed Susans are generally considered easy to grow, but germination can be affected by planting depth, soil temperature, moisture levels, and seed-to-soil contact. Because the seeds need light to germinate, covering them too deeply can significantly reduce emergence. Excessive moisture, dry conditions, heavy soils, or weather extremes during the germination period can also impact success. We would still love the opportunity to help. We previously reached out and offered a resolution but have not yet heard back. If you're interested in moving forward with that offer, please reply to the email we sent and we'll be happy to assist. At Eden Brothers, we stand behind our products, and we'd appreciate the chance to make things right. Thank you for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention!

I started 12 seeds indoors assuming half would take. To my surprise, they all took off. I started them pretty late in the season, got them in the ground 2 months ago and they all have blooms as of yesterday. My only wish was that they were the perennial version.

I purchased these because I saw they are companions of zinnias. I planted the entire packet of flowers and not a single one germinated.

Store owner replied: Hello Meghan Ninke. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We genuinely appreciate you reaching out and sharing your experience. Feedback like yours is so important in helping us grow and improve. It is common for Black-Eyed Susan seeds to spend their first year focusing on root and foliage development, with blooming delayed until the second season. If they didn't germinate it could have been a bit too warm. Most like a cold moist stratification period before planting. Cool soil or a sudden heatwave can hinder sprouting. We're glad to hear our Customer Service Team was able to assist you further. Thanks again for taking the time to connect with us, and we wish you a wonderful and successful growing season!

One pound of seed produced only three plants. Only one logical explanation for that.

I ordered Black Eyed Susan seeds and was displeased that very few seeds germinated. There was more weeds than actually flowers. I have had good results with past orders but this last one was a complete flop.
