    Customer Reviews

    Overall rating: 2.0 / 5 from 3 reviews.

I've grown anemones over the years without issue, but for whatever reason, these had rather poor germination, were VERY prone to rot (not in the normal way), and never made it to flowering, even with pre-sprouting. I'm not sure what's up, but the anemones I purchased were the same. I'm not sure if it's an off year or what, but it's definitely been an expensive year without flowers to show for it :( I love Eden Brothers for getting unique, hard to find varieties- but if they don't survive, what's the point?

Store owner replied: Hello LittleCatLittleBean. Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that your anemones did not perform as expected, especially since you've successfully grown them in the past. We understand how discouraging it is to invest the time and effort into pre-sprouting only to have the corms struggle before they ever reached bloom. Anemones thrive in cool, well-drained conditions and can be particularly sensitive to prolonged wet weather during establishment, which may contribute to rot. In climates like Zone 6, they also benefit from having the longest possible cool growing season before summer heat arrives, as rising temperatures can shorten their bloom window or prevent flowering altogether. Based on feedback from gardeners like you, we've made a change this year. All of our anemone corms will now ship in the fall, allowing customers to store them until they're ready to pre-sprout and plant at the ideal time for their local growing conditions. We had reached out with additional information and a proposed resolution but never received a reply. If you'd still like assistance, simply respond to that email, and we'll be happy to continue working with you. We truly appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to help!
