    Bird & Butterfly Wildflower Seed Mix

    Broadcast seeds over a recently burned over wastage area of about 15' X 40' before the winter rains arrived in earnest and didn't really expect much for the first year. Boy, was I wrong. The area has filled in beautifully with about 50% coverage. Pedestrians have remarked how great it looks and it is busy with insects and hummingbirds (my main goal). I expect it to fill in next year and become a dependable resource for native pollinators and hummers.

    Bird & Butterfly Wildflower Seed Mix

    I planted these along the length of my house with a western exposure in NE Florida. This is an area where weeds like to grow and the grass gets rather soggy under the eaves. I was so happy with the first blooms. One of these plants grew to 7 ft tall. But the bulk of them were 3-4 ft tall and some smaller varieties that were close to the ground. I loved it and so did the bees and butterflies. I can't wait to see what perennials bloom next year.

    I bought seeds a couple years ago right before i lost my leg so they sat in a cupboard for a year. I really didn't expect to get as much as one plant. I have a drainage ditch in my back yard that has a bunch of cattail that i actually like and now there is 3 feet of wild flower before it. Who says you can't make a drainage ditch beautiful...
