Planted these three months ago - nothing has come up yet. Maybe next year?

Black Eyed Susan Roots - Goldstrum

Store owner replied: Hello Mark G. We do understand your concern, but planting dormant roots in June in Zone 9 means they are trying to establish during some of the hottest part of the growing season, which can be stressful for a new root system even though established Black-Eyed Susan plants tolerate heat well. If the crown is still healthy underground, it’s possible it could remain dormant and emerge when conditions become more favorable or even next spring, although we can’t guarantee that will happen. We are glad we were able to provide guidance and a resolution and that you’re willing to try again. Hopefully, an earlier planting will give the new roots more time to establish before summer heat arrives and rewards you with the beautiful blooms you were expecting!

I have these planted with some other things so maybe I just can't find them. Maybe next year the roots will grow and flower.

Store owner replied: Hello Jolene C. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like this helps us improve our products and planting instructions. They may not have come up because they had less time to establish before the heat of summer. These hardy perennials often spend their first season putting energy into root development, and some may not show visible growth until the following spring. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to assist you, and we’re glad we could help. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention!

Very poor roots. Nothing grew. Disappointed.

Store owner replied: Hello Cynthia G. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like this helps us improve our products and planting expectations for all the planting zones. When planted in late June, in Zone 9, they may not do well because the summer heat makes it difficult for new roots to establish. These perennials do best when planted in early spring or fall, when cooler conditions give them time to settle in and grow. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to offer you a resolution, and we’re glad we could help. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and we apologize for the disappointment!

Planted early spring & was hopefully but out of the 3 roots none have shown any signs of growth. Even in my timer irrigated beds.

Six packs of three received. 60% of the roots were small. Carefully sorting each pack of three I discovered one package of three containing only two roots, yes sorted carefully because some are very small. Planted and waiting to see growth. No photo because a picture of nothing is just nothing.

Really did expect this to sprout since it is a native to the area. After weeks of monitoring the progress there is just nothing.
