This year's dahlia order from Eden Brothers has been incredibly disappointing. Two varieties I ordered were sent to me labeled as what was ordered, but bloomed as completely different varieties, including this "Belle of Barmera" that is very clearly Break Out.

While growing conditions can influence a dahlia’s color and sometimes its bloom characteristics, they would not normally explain a flower that is substantially inconsistent with the variety ordered. We take your concern that this is not Belle of Barmera seriously. Your photo and feedback have been reported to our Quality Control team, who are working directly with our grower to investigate how these labeling or packing discrepancies may have occurred. These blooms are showstoppers! The petals have the most beautiful texture — soft, curled, and full of movement. The color starts out a warm yellow-peach and deepens into this stunning apricot-pink as they open. Each bloom is large, full, and picture-perfect. I have mine in Terra Cotta pots, and with a little weekly fertilizing, they’ve rewarded me with these incredible flowers. Definitely one of my favorites this season and will grow next season!
🌸 My First Time Growing Flowers! 🌸
This was my very first time growing flowers, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what I was doing at first—but thank goodness for Google! I planted some Rose Lilies and Dahlias, and as of October 5th, my Dahlias are blooming! 😍 I was starting to think I had done something wrong, but seeing them come to life has me so excited for next year.
Bell of Barmera has done really well in my garden! This is the third year I’ve grown (bought the original tuber from Eden Brothers in 2023 and have been dividing it each year) and they have been hardy and prolific. Last year, I grew several plants that I didn’t stake and none of them fell over. They are really beautiful!
My tubers came up and bloomed but the plant looks ill? Not sure if it is a different variety or actually sick but my plants around it are doing great. They seem to barely open up and are stringy looking and not at all the color the photos show. After they slightly open they stay just as the pictures show, never grow bigger or straighten out. Was really excited for this variety but I’m not sure if it’s me or bad tubers.

The tubers arrived healthy and sprouted. The first flower just came up and it looks close to the other pictures. It's huge!
Far exceeded my expectations! Last summer was so hot that none of my dahlias bloomed until early September and these were worth the wait! These are the most unique flowers I’ve ever grown and arguably my favorite! Loved having this dahlia in my garden!
I got zero growth from either of the two tubers that I purchased. All the other dahlias that I got from Eden Brothers have leafed out and most have buds already. Lilac time is already blooming! But Belle of Balmera didn’t even sprout. Very disappointed.

I have bought many beautiful flowers from Eden Brothers but this set of tubers never came up? Might have been me that was the problem?? There is nothing more beautiful than a Dahlia in full bloom

This is my first time buying from Eden and I was so excited to plant this variety! I was a little concerned when the tubers came and a lot of the individual tubers were separated from the main stem. However, I followed all the instructions that came with the package and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, they never produced even a sprout and now I’m out almost $40. So incredibly disappointing :(

I received two of these bulbs and unfortunately one was damaged in the mail and is not growing. The other is growing EXTREMELY well! Still unsure if I will risk ordering online again, but it could be worth it!

Put two in the ground 6 weeks ago, zone 8a, they never came up. This so rarely happens with your products, disappointing, maybe it's the variety. A shame, especially at the price point. The Cafe au Lait I planted 4 weeks ago are up and 5-6 inches tall already.

I bought these as a gift for my mom who loves gardening. Unfortunately the bulbs never sprouted and she said that they were too dried up.

This dahlia produced so many blooms! It kept pumping them out until frost. The flowers were large (some of them were huge) and beautifully colored. No two blossoms were the same.
Truly the most outstanding surprise of 2022. I received Belle as part of a collection and would not have specifically ordered based only on the photos. The depth of color- iridescence- glory and positive visitor reviews exceeded any of my more than 100 types of dahlias. I only had a few tubers but it didn't matter. With only minimal love Belle produced exotic decorative sized blooms in abundance.
Absolutely the best
Really. The color is just gorgeous and this very green, newbie gardener was just delighted with the steady blooms this summer! I ordered more for next Spring so that maybe I will be willing to actually share some of my cut flowers with friends!
First year of growing this dahlia and the blooms are stunning in person. Between the variation of color and curling of the petals, it catches your eye in the garden or in a vase. It can be a tall plant and plan to include a better support system next year (i.e. tomato cages) as the blooms get heavy especially after a good rain. Overall a beautiful addition to the garden!
