Customer photo review of Dahlia Tubers (Peony-Flowered) - Bishop of Canterbury

I loved the idea of this flower to break up my dahlia area. Leaves are more like a peony and love the dark color foliage. I am in Seattle, beginning of August, its first bloom just came. A bit of a smaller flower than I expected but a show stopper.

Dahlia Tubers (Peony-Flowered) - Bishop of Canterbury

All of the tubers arrived super dry and completely unviable.

Store owner replied: Hello Cassie Hensley. Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that your dahlia tubers arrived in a condition that left you concerned about their viability. Dahlia tubers can sometimes appear quite dry during shipping and storage, as they naturally lose some moisture while dormant. However, they should still contain enough stored energy to sprout when planted under favorable conditions. We previously reached out and offered a resolution but have not yet heard back. If you'd like to move forward with the resolution we offered, please reply to that email. At Eden Brothers, we stand behind our products and are always happy to help!

These were duds. I was replacing this in the same pot and location I had grown it for 10 years (lost it to a rain/freeze winter). Nothing came of these bulbs, very disappointing for my first order from this company.

The photo on the website shows two husky tubers, and I really thought that what I would would receive would be like the ones advertised. NOT! They were about 1/3 the size of the photo and not very plump, a bit desiccated. There are some growth eyes, so I am crossing my fingers that I actually get two dahlias to grow from these two tubers. I really love the Bishop series.

Disappointed with the plant/tubers (unlike the other tubers I've gotten from Eden Brothers.) These were smaller in size and never bloomed this summer although others planted next to them produced beautiful flowers. I dug up the tubers this fall with hopes that if I plant in a different location next year that I may get better results.
