    All tubers arrived in decent shape. There were a few broken necks, but I was able to salvage something in all four that I received. Every single tuber sprouted and grew well until a heat wave killed two of them. They finally bloomed in late August and I am absolutely thrilled with the color on these dahlias! If you love dark dahlias this is one you must have in your garden! I can’t even begin to describe the dimension present in the flower; deep dark purple/burgundy/black. If it hadn’t been for the intense heat and pest problems this season they truly would have been a stunning addition to my garden. I hope that the plants did well enough to produce more tubers for this coming spring.

    Unfortunately, when I opened these tubers on the day they arrived one was completely rotten, the other tuber had just one tube that was not falling off. No sign of an eye.
