This plant didn’t grow. Followed all the instructions. Received a rebate

    Echinacea Helenium Butterfly Attractor Mix

Store owner replied: Hello Rachel A. Thank you for your review. We are sorry your Echinacea Helenium Butterfly Attractor Mix didn’t establish as expected. In Zone 5, May is generally an appropriate planting time, although these are perennials that can establish more slowly than annual flowers, and some may devote their first season to root and foliage development rather than blooming. Germination can also be affected by cool or overly wet spring soil, planting too deeply, inconsistent moisture, or weed competition, and Echinacea can benefit from exposure to cold, moist conditions to help encourage germination. For best results, sow shallowly in a sunny, well-drained, weed-free location and maintain consistent moisture while seedlings establish. Even with these considerations, a complete lack of growth is understandably disappointing. We’re glad our Customer Care team had the opportunity to provide a resolution and appreciate the chance to stand behind our products and our Grow Guarantee. We hope your future plantings bring the thriving pollinator garden you were looking forward to!

I got this on sale and no wonder they were so cheap. Not a single one grew! I should have read the other reviews first.

    Echinacea Helenium Butterfly Attractor Mix

Store owner replied: Hello Allie A. Thank you for taking the time to write in a review for us, and we are sorry they didn't do well. Echinacea and helenium are generally reliable perennials, but late May planting in Zone 6 can sometimes make establishment more challenging as temperatures begin to rise. Factors such as excessive rainfall, dry conditions, poor drainage, planting depth, or temperature fluctuations can all affect early growth. These perennials also often spend much of their first season developing strong root systems before producing more vigorous top growth and blooms. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns and make things right. We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll have much better success with your next planting!

I ordered 20 roots in the late spring and received 18, half of which seemed viable, the others seemed a little rotten. Tried to run with the okay ones anyway, following instructions and only one has sprouted. I probably should have documented them and just asked for a refund right off the bat, lesson learned

I bought these last year to fill out a bed, and I have had to rip every single one out since then due to a mutation in the flowers. No other coneflowers in the garden affected, only the ones planted from this mix. Such a bummer. Half ripped out last July and thought it was a fluke, but the rest need to be ripped out this weekend.

Store owner replied: Hello Helen S. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you sharing your experience with us! Feedback like yours helps us deliver the best quality products and service possible. What you described sounds like it could have been caused by aster yellows, a disease spread by leafhoppers that can affect new plantings with deformed blooms, even when other plants nearby are unaffected. It’s not caused by the roots themselves, but we understand how frustrating and disappointing this is. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to assist you and you think it might be those nasty mites. We're happy that we were able to come to a satisfactory resolution for you and look forward to continuing gardening with you!

Out of 10 roots I had only 3 come up. They are beautiful, but I am bummed that only half germinated.

I ordered 10 roots last year and they flowered beautifully. I ordered another 20 this year to thread through the bed and I can't wait!

    Echinacea Helenium Butterfly Attractor Mix

I've had good luck with this product. I don't think all 20 roots took but many did and I have one ready to flower now so I'm happy. I would definitely order again

Purchased 64 roots in Spring of 23. Planted as soon as they arrived. Only 2 plants took. I am a very seasoned gardener, did not over water.

I bought this mix along with liatris to put in the same garden bed in spring 2022. I did not receive all of the roots that I ordered from the echinacea/helenium mix so I contacted eden brothers and they refunded me for the missing roots. I planted the ones I did get but they never grew, which is a bummer because the plants in the picture look beautiful. All of the liatris looked great though.
