You may want to renew your vows when you see these stunning Jumbo peony roots! This is the same Bridal Bouquet Mix that is loved for its classically large, voluminous blooms in brides' most loved colors but in a larger, more mature peony root. Our Jumbo peony roots typically have five to eight eyes, while our regular size has two to four. This size difference translates into a much larger plant the first year and will bloom within the first or second year of growth. Soft pink, subtle salmon, and pale coral blooms provide the perfect combination of colors for this easy-to-grow perennial. A florist's dream!
• Note: Fall-planted peonies ship to all zones beginning in October
• Late spring to early summer blooming, easy to grow
• Classic peony colors

I ordered these a couple of years ago and this is the first year with full blossoms. Unfortunately, I only received one color and not the full bouquet as advertised. I really wanted the Sarah. The ones I received are pretty coral color, but they open up really loosely and don't have a lot of petals like the quintessential peony.

Hello April. Thank you for sharing your experience with the peony collection. We understand how disappointing it can be to wait several years for peonies to fully mature and bloom, only to find that the varieties did not match the expected mix. Peonies can occasionally take a few seasons to establish before showing their true mature blooms, but it does sound like your plants did not develop into the full assortment that was intended for this collection. The coral blooms you described are certainly beautiful in their own way, though we completely understand wanting the fuller, more traditional double blooms like Sarah Bernhardt that were part of the advertised bouquet. Variety mix-ups can occasionally happen at the grower level since dormant peony roots cannot be visually identified before blooming. We have addressed this with our growers and apologize for this. We truly appreciate your patience throughout the growing process and are glad we were able to provide a resolution that you were happy with. We always stand behind our products and genuinely want our customers to enjoy long-lasting success in their gardens!
With the caveat that I got a refund, and am pleased by the great customer service, 2/3 of these were mislabeled. Eden Bros was kind enough to refund me because 2 of these had no/minimal growth their first spring, but after I re-planted them and gave some extra TLC, they did put on some growth throughout the summer.
However, only the Coral Charm bloomed in its second spring after planting. In the third spring, another one had a couple of blooms, but they were not either Shirley Temple or Sarah Bernhardt. Instead, it looks more like Bowl of Beauty. Still looks very nice. Now, in the fourth spring, the third one has a bunch of blooms, but seems to be “Red Sarah Bernhardt,” not Sarah Bernhardt.

Hello CM. Thank you for your thoughtful review and for being such a valued customer! We truly appreciate your continued support. We’re glad to hear you had a positive experience with our customer service, but we’re very sorry for the mix-up with the varieties, as that’s not what we expect. While it’s great that the plants have established and are producing beautiful blooms, we understand how important it is for them to be true to type. It seems there was a small batch that was mislabeled, by our growers that year. We are continuing to review feedback like yours with our team and growers to improve accuracy and consistency. We always stand behind our products and appreciate the opportunity to make things right!
The jumbo peonies were just that-extra large. Some of my roots had 11-12 eyes. All had 6 or more. I purchased 2 sets of jumbos with 9 peonies in each set. All 18 peonies have sprouted. Make sure you don’t bury your peonies too deep. An inch or two will suffice. Super pleased with these. Thank you Eden Brothers!
Ordered this for fall planting. When they arrived I was shocked at how the items could all be considered jumbo. One of the three definitely hit the mark. The other two looked rough. One just looked like a potato with a few large eyes and absolutely no roots. The third was what I would consider a regular size. 3 eyes and a few roots. For my first order I can’t say I’d come back. They’ll get planted but I don’t have high hopes.

Only two of the three bulbs came up. I planted in spring just after they arrived in a nice sunny spot, and the two that succeeded flourished. So many leaves. Didn't bloom the first year, which seems reasonable since they were spring planted. They did look great, and had plenty of leaves. I have no doubt they will bloom next year. We were pretty bummed that the third one didn't come up, though. I planted them in my Mom's yard for Mother's Day, and next year I'll have to find another one to plant there because the hole in the plan was pretty clear.
I ordered the Jumbo Bridal Bouquet set of 3 peony roots last spring and planted them as soon as they arrived. All three sent up two or more stems and all three have buds this spring! I'm looking forward to seeing them in bloom. Wish I knew what peonies were in the grouping - maybe I'll be able to identify them when the bloom. Like many plants I get from Eden brothers they were healthy and are doing well.
These roots were not "jumbo" by any stretch of the imagination. Most have only 2-3 eyes
One out of the 9 had as many as 4 eyes. Not worth the extra cost to try to get a jump on blooms.

I do not have a green thumb. But I love peonies. I planted 2 years ago in fall following the instructions. That spring/summer I got lovely bushes. I was not expecting blooms that summer. Next summer, I had tons of huge blooms (on 5/6 plants). Highly recommend for those who love beautiful plants but maybe are not the best gardener!
