I bought these last year and only 2 of the roots sprouted (probably my fault) They grew about 4 inches the whole year. This year they grew to their mature size and finally bloomed. The flowers are so pretty, I'm pretty happy with them.
I planted these roots earlier this year, and they all have been growing successfully at various rates. Now that two of them have bloomed I am disappointed to see that both of them are purple, which is a color I did not want and a color which is not shown in the sample photo for these phlox. That being said, they are pretty and I’m going to keep them, but they are still not what I wanted. Another one is about to bloom and looks like it’ll be pink. For reviewers here who said theirs didn’t come up at all I suspect that you buried the whole item underground instead of just the roots. The stringy part goes in the ground, and the fleshier part needs to stay above ground for these to grow.

When planted during summer the heat and sometimes dry weather, can stress bare roots before they’ve had a chance to establish. I bought ten of these. Idk what it is, but only four of them took. I planted 5 on the south side of my house and 5 on the west side. 2 from each location quickly took and are now growing very well. As for the rest, there is just a dead root in the ground.

I think these must just be delicate, the roots are very small. I planted a set of five but none grew and Eden Brothers very graciously refunded them. I bought another set and was extra careful with them and only one of them is growing. It has not bloomed yet, so fingers crossed it is a color that I wanted.

I had really high hopes for these. I planted them as instructed and all but one flourished, however they never bloomed so it’s possible that they take a year or so to develop blooms like some other bulbs I’ve planted. However, I will not know this year because the deer got to them.

I was really excited about growing these! Followed the planting instructions to a "T" and only 2 of the 5 roots have sprouted. Disappointed, but hopefully these two sprouts will thrive!
