The root seemed healthy upon arrival. I haven't seen any signs of it this summer, but maybe next year?

Don’t do it! This is not a difficult plant to grow, but what I received for over $60 was so microscopic that it never had a chance. With over 40 years of gardening experience I have never been so disappointed. I gave the rootlets I received the best chance at life as I placed in a newly created raised bed and lightly covered with the best professional mix of screened native topsoil, river sand and compost in a sunny spot. It’s been over a month since planting. I cannot provide pictures because nothing sprouted.
