Zinderella Red Zinnia stands out as the initial red scabiosa-flowered zinnia. Striking crested red blooms, measuring two inches, grace the scene abundantly, providing long-lasting beauty when used as cut flowers. With a reliable penchant for doubleness, coupled with a robust constitution and attractive dark green foliage, this variety is well-suited for mixed borders and cutting gardens.

Though Zinderella zinnias have been bred for more consistent scabiosa-style blooms, most single to semi-double variation is normal. You’ll see the most fully double flowers early in the season under cooler conditions; as temperatures rise, blooms may shift back toward single.

  • • Fiery red with dark green foliage creates a dramatic contrast in the garden
  • • Ideal for mixed borders and cutting gardens
  • • Drought and deer resistant while attracting beneficial insects

Customer photo review of Zinnia Seeds - Zinderella Red

These are about 2 feet tall and look great with blue salvia (same height). I didn’t get the scabioua look but these are pretty reddish orange zinnias.
