These were beautiful and so easy to grow

Planted in full sun, it took 8 weeks for the first flower to appear. Blooms not large as expected. Does not show as others Ive planted in previous years from another seller. Would not purchase these again.

Zinnia Seeds - California Giants Mix
Store owner replied: Hello Roxanne. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear that your zinnias did not perform as you had hoped. California Giants is one of our most popular zinnia varieties and is well known for producing large blooms throughout the summer. Bloom size and timing can be influenced by weather, fertility, and growing conditions, particularly if plants experience extended periods of cool or cloudy weather early in the season or environmental stress later on. We also find that pinching off the first few blooms can encourage plants to branch and produce larger flowers as the season progresses. Providing at least 6–8 hours of full sun, consistent moisture, and avoiding excessive nitrogen fertilizer can also help promote larger, more abundant blooms. We are glad we had the opportunity to provide a resolution and appreciate you giving us the chance to help. We stand behind our products and hope you'll enjoy the beautiful, oversized blooms this variety is known for!
I couldn't be happier with their outcome!

If you want zinnias, you want these. Easy to grow, big blooms, tall plants, great mix of colors. I've planted these for many years. Last season's plants re-seeded this year, some of the plants are almost 5 feet tall, but they're fighting with the cosmos for space. I didn't expect them to re-seed, they were annual in FL, but apparently not in MS.

I tilled up a dirt patch and sprinkled 1/4 of a pound of seeds of these Zinnias... walked away and 6 weeks later they became the winner of all the flower seeds I've planted. No effort at all just good ol mother nature taking care of them. Absolutely plan on resowing AND buying more for next year.

These zinnias are STUNNING!

Very easy to grow, it will be rewarding when the butterflies and bees enjoy them.

Scattered the seeds in a small raised bed that receives 6 hours of sunlight a day and got great results

I arranged cut flower bouquets for all of my friends all summer long. They were so beautiful and easy to grow!

Had loads of gorgeous big blooms with these seeds. Hand spread and used a roller afterwords to press the seeds in. I would say just about 99% grew. This attracted loads of pollinators with butterflies, bees, hummingbird moths hummingbirds and more. I had neighbors dropping by and random people stopping in the road to take pictures and ask where I bought the seed almost daily.

Zinnias are my favorite and these all bloomed beautifully. I actually bought 3 different varieties and mixed them all together. Love how they turned out.

Ordered 1 - oz and planted in three different groups. Super impressed with these zinnia seeds. They truly are giants. Flowers are nearly 3 ft talllwith several blossoms. Will be buying again.

My husband and I planted these seeds in a 20'X 20' plot and a narrow band that spans our home .We planted the seeds by scattering rather heavy. The plot is beautiful and so full, there is no room for weeds. Next year we plan to expand the plot. I bought 5# of seeds but used maybe a pound. The zinnias have not required much water as we have had enough rain.

Huge, bright and plentifully beautiful blooms! What more could you ask for?!

My flower garden was a delightful array of colorful blooms thanks to the colorful AND very large California Giants. ❤️

Excellent, gigantic zinnias for the first season. Outlandish arrangements and a spectrum of color. Just remember if sowing saved hybrid seeds for a second season to expect an entirely "differnt" outcome. I'll continue to purchase the one pound packet for each season. The "show" is worth every penny spent and the zinnias offer boundless joy to the eye.

I had some to grow from this pack!

These are the best seeds ever! For my first ever gardening project I had so many flowers and I blessed so many of my friends with these fabulous Zinnias. I purchased some recently from a different supplier and I did not have the same growth color and it was not a good experience. Thank you, Eden for supplying great seeds.

I get these every year and had some doubt that they were going come up this year but they've finally flowered and don't disappoint. I have numerous other zinnia seeds in my garden and these and the Oklahoma variety seem to be the most consistent with shape and color variety/vibrance.

I have been purchasing various zinnia seeds from Eden Brothers for years, add this year I opened a cupboard and found an entire bag of their California Giants mix that I had forgotten about and that was at least 3 years old. Thinking I'd be "lucky" if they germinated I chose an area 20x20 in my back garden, scruffed up the dirt with an iron rake, threw them down and walked away. Within a few days the entire area was sprouting with baby zinnias. Just amazing. I can't wait to see this big swatch of color come end of summer, and all the happy bees and butterflies who will be swarming around them. Eden Brothers has the BEST seed! Highly recommend.

These germinated easily under my grow light and were very easy to harden off in April. They started blooming at the beginning of June.

Germination is great. Got a great stand of healthy plants.

I sowed these in the garden. I think every seed came up. I had to thin out the plants many times. I gave away tons and transplanted many around my yard in sun and shade. In the original area I had a mass of beautiful flowers that grew almost 6 feet tall. No one could believe it. The transplanted ones in the shade survived but only grew about 2-3 feet tall and bloomed much later. The flowers were about half the size of the ones in the mass planting. But still amazing and beautiful. All my friends want seeds. My only problem was I am only 5 feet tall so it was hard to see the tops of the flowers. They had sun and water. I did not fertilize.

I've been buying zinnia seeds from Eden Bros. for years, and decided to try the California giants last year. The California Giants zinnia bed was just stunning. Anyone who visited or made deliveries at our home mentioned the large blooms and asked where they could get the same seeds. I've been mass planting various zinnias from your website every year, and the flowers produced are the most beautiful part of our flower gardens every year. Sometimes those seeds are popping up in just a few days. The zinnia beds are the easiest to maintain and provide incredible results with very little effort. I appreciate that as I get older! Our flower gardens are loaded with butterflies and hummingbirds every year, and our granddaughters take home a personally chosen bloom every day, knowing that there will be another one to take home tomorrow.

Easiest flower ever. Large, impressive, brightly colored blooms that seem to last forever. I only watered them a few times when there was no rain. Grew to 4 foot tall, on sturdy stems, no staking. Talk about the pollinators! We had so many butterflies, and bees, it was absolutely amazing! Sow sparingly, cause the germination rate is incredibly good.

I am buying these for the 3rd year in a row. I absolutely love these. I plant them along the edge of our backyard and make a natural fence. They are beautiful, colorful, big, and exactly what I dreamed of. The butterflies and bees love them too. The zinnias make enough that there is always plenty to share with friends. Ive tried saving the seeds to plant the following year and had some success with that too!
Sarah 5/5
The seeds are great even in the 110 degree weather they did great.
Linda B. 5/5
These zinnias are pure joy -- tall, brilliantly colorful, and they just kept coming! They made really pretty bouquets, too. But best of all, my garden was alive with butterflies and bees. Bumble bees seemed particularly partial to the pink zinnias. Thank you so much -- lots of delight from that little pack of seeds.

I've ordered these California Giant Zinnias for six years. They are simple to sow and never disappoint. The spot gets full sun for six hours every day. Colors are vibrant and the varied blossoms are spectacular. They require a minimum of water once established and they are sturdy in strong wind and survive hail. Great for cutting bouquets also! I wouldn't chance ordering from anyone other than Eden Brothers.

The zinnias were absolutely beautiful this year, as always. They were in bloom from early summer through mid October and were the favorite of the local bees and butterflies. Our resident groundhog does enjoy a blossom or two before hibernating, but thankfully didn’t over indulge! Your service and products are wonderful and I’m looking forward to ordering for next year.

This has been my second year ordering the California Giants and to say the are amazing is an under statement! The colors bold, bright and beautiful. We always have a large group of hummingbirds, butterflies and bees love them. Thank-you for having them.

Last year I bought an ounce. This year I bought a pound. Excellent germination, I intend to throw these seeds everywhere I have bare dirt. I'm going to disk a row in my pasture for them, the butterflies and hummingbirds love them and I love their easy care and incredible color. Great seeds and great delivery.

I planted 1 pound last year on the south side of my sunroom. After planting I used preen and sat back and enjoyed them all summer. Have listed my house for sale and will provide the new owner with a pound of seed if I have to move before planting time.

These seeds are fool proof in my experience. I plant a whole pound of them in a mass planting every year and the display is stunning. My friend planted 10 pounds in a field for her wedding and it was the most beautiful sight ever. These zinnias are worth their weight in gold.

This is my second review of these after planting in 2017 and 2018. Will plant more this year. High germination rate, bloom after bloom, great color on hardy plants easily reaching 4 feet tall. These are absolutely foolproof, so much payoff for very little effort. Butterflies and hummingbirds love them. And I do too, of course.

These were absolutely beautiful. I planted them in an area with shallow soil and full sun, under bushes, in my front yard. I have tried so many things there and have not been happy. But, these zinnias took no effort and were gorgeous. I had people stop daily to talk about them. Ended up cutting daily and handing out as gifts and making new friends.

I am delighted with the results of this Zenia mix. I live in Jamestown, Colorado at 7,000 feet and I have recommended Eden Brother's seeds to all of my neighbors asking for tours of my gardens.

They are especially important for migratory Monarch butterflies, which have declined by 90% in number over the past 20 years. Easy to grow. No maintenance.

We live in the DFW area of Texas. I scattered the seeds throughout my backyard in March last year. Nothing much happened until May or so when they suddenly all of them sprouted. By 4th of July weekend, my backyard garden was covered with thousands of zinnias. They continued to bloom well into November. We loved them but our friends and visitors were absolutely infatuated with them. So there will be more houses in DFW this summer radiating color because they all bought seeds when I explained exactly how easy they are to grow. Throw them on the ground with some decently soft soil (anything better than clay). Don't cover them. Don't over water them. Don't touch them. They are awesome!
