Customer photo review of Zinnia Seeds - Cherry Queen

I bought these seeds a year ago. Planted them through out the spring and early summer they are beautiful and have brought beautiful and beneficial insects to my yard. See pictures of both

The packet of seeds I purchased are now blooming, and all of the blooms I have so far are clearly pink and not the red I was expecting.

I am writing to echo the sentiments of another reviewer's experience with this year's Cherry Queen seeds. I provided an earlier review (last year's seed crop) in which I extolled the Cherry Queens. They lasted all season--well into early October and they were simply breathtaking. Sadly, this year's experience did not replicate last year's, with about a 55%-60% germination and not nearly as prolific or eye-catching, straining to reach a level of "meh."

I am not sure what has happened, but last year I had a plethora of Zennia’s from your seeds. This year, however, even though I followed all the directions as last year, some packets never even came up. The ones that did come, are very few . Very disappointing. I just went out and bought Zenia’s from one of our hardware stores. I wonder if I could’ve gotten a bad batch. Anyone else have this experience this year? P.S. I have automated sprinklers and I made sure that the seeds stayed moist for two weeks.

Purchased these last year and the color was a brilliant red with blooms that lasted a very long time. These will become a staple in our flower garden.

I saw this other review and then went out to take a look at my zinnias. They look red to me. Hers look more red than Pink in the picture. We are/were in a drought here in Tn. My patch came up quick almost 100% germ. Only looked bad when I failed to water them. At the end of the season Sept. had the usual leaf spot precluded by fugus. I don't usually treat it, sprayed with great results. Now I guess I will be stuck spraying every year (my wife). Dr. Fields, MD Major Biology with minor Physics now retired
